Our community should have input into the decisions that affect them.
Each member of our community has aspirations for our Town, so in my role as Mayor I am championing a different form of local leadership that is driven from the ground up; where we can all play a part in shaping a positive future for our community. Alone we can achieve a little, but in coming together we can achieve so much more to make our Town an even better place for us all to enjoy.
During my time as Mayor we have brought community engagement to the fore to genuinely understand what our community values and what residents of the Town are seeking.
Over recent months we have been undertaking an extensive community engagement process through "BassenDream Our Future". Using the wealth of community feedback that we have gathered we will soon develop a shared vision for the future of Ashfield, Bassendean & Eden Hill.
We are developing a new community engagement framework to ensure that we hear from as many people as possible regarding matters that affect them. Incredible skills, knowledge and passion exists in our community and drawing on these will deliver better outcomes for our community.
